Gravy Brain...

...because it's from the drippings and juices flowing in my brain. The tidbits you sneek before the meal is served, while you're making the gravy. So, these are excerpts from my life, thoughts about God and the Life found in Him. Sometimes I'll talk like you're listening. Sometimes I'll jot down stuff like a journal. Read it. Don't read it. Doesn't matter. The real meat & potatoes (the lessons mentioned in the side bar) can be found at TheJesusTribe, in Links. Be blessed, or not. It is a choice.

A Thank You to Mothers Everywhere

To all the mom's, grand mom's, mom's-in-law, step mom's, second mom's, and all important, life altering women who .........just do it.

They do it because they love us. No one else in the world can do their job the way they do, because no one else in the world, no matter how well-meaning, could love us as unconditionally, know us as intimately, pray for us as fervently or be committed to us as deeply.

For all they do, seen and un-seen, from the mundane to the absolutely magical, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For never giving up, even when they got discouraged. For supplying strength, even when they felt weak. For inspiring hope when they felt hopeless.

For driving the kids and their friends when they desperatey needed a rest. For being at the school function when they could have been somewhere else. For doing the shopping, cleaning, and chores, and for teaching us kids how to do them also. These are valuable skills to possess and were attained by valuable time spent together.

Thanks Moms, for loving and caring and persevering and making us who we are today. 'I love you' seems so inadequate. But I do.
