Gravy Brain...

...because it's from the drippings and juices flowing in my brain. The tidbits you sneek before the meal is served, while you're making the gravy. So, these are excerpts from my life, thoughts about God and the Life found in Him. Sometimes I'll talk like you're listening. Sometimes I'll jot down stuff like a journal. Read it. Don't read it. Doesn't matter. The real meat & potatoes (the lessons mentioned in the side bar) can be found at TheJesusTribe, in Links. Be blessed, or not. It is a choice.

Happy Birthday

I am married to one of the greatest guys alive today. I truely do believe that. My high school sweatheart.

My husband, whom I lovingly call Clark, (because he is my super hero) is a one of a kind. What you see, is what you get with him. He does not ever pretend to be something he is not. He is the most honest person I have ever known. I am a better person because of what I have learned from him.

He is a gentle and loving person. He shows love and affection for me and the kids every day, regardless of how his day out in the world has gone. He kisses me every day when he walks in the door and every night before he goes to sleep. He loves his children and tells them often. He puts our daughter to bed every night with giggles and smiles.

'Clark' will see something that needs doing and do it. He will not think twice about running a vaccum, washing dishes or making a bed. He regularly does his own laundry and a lot of the kids and, more than just occassionally, has done mine also.

My husband makes me laugh (and we laugh a lot, more than most I suspect). He is sensitive to my moods and feelings and knows exactly what to do to change a mood. He asks me every single day, "How are you doing?" and he listens when I talk. He talks to me about his dreams and our future. We share a faith in God, and a love for Jesus.

He spends time with me and our kids, meets their needs and grants as many wishes as he can make come true. He desires to know them as people and has more wisdom in relating to them than I think he realizes.
I can honestly say that I do love him more today (despite the many stresses and obligations of life) than I did when we were young and had our freedom. He is the love of my life and the other half of my soul. I thank God regularly for bringing him to me and giving me such a great partner for this life's journey.

Happy Birthday "Clark". You truely are my superman.
